About ZEPU-QS5
ZEPU-QS5 is a stretching machine for the adductors. The patient sits with the back on the backrest and each leg on a lateral arm, with the thigh and knee on pads. The arms open symmetrically to the sides, up to a width of 1300 mm, and stretch the inner thigh muscles.
ZEPU-QS5 is part of the ZEPU-QS series of stretching machines. All models in the series share the same principle: a steel frame with seat and upholstered pads that fix the body position, a stretching element adjustable over 4 levels and a maximum load of 150 kg, with no power supply. The manufacturer's catalogue gives dimensions and weight for each model, and the targeted muscle group follows from the machine's configuration.
Key features
- Two articulated lateral arms. Each leg rests on an arm with a thigh pad and a knee pad, and the arms open symmetrically to the sides.
- Backrest and handles. The tall backrest fixes the trunk and the vertical handles on the arms allow control of the opening.
- Working width 1300 mm. The open arms reach a width of 1300 mm, for full hip abduction.
- 4-level adjustment. The stretch amplitude locks in 4 steps, for controlled progression from one session to the next.
- Maximum load 150 kg. Steel frame and upholstery rated for patients up to 150 kg.
- No power supply. Mechanical device, no motor and no cables. Can be placed anywhere in the gym.
Clinical indications
The equipment is indicated for:
- Adductor tightness and limited hip abduction
- Recovery after adductor injuries in athletes
- Rehabilitation after hip replacement, as prescribed by the physician
- Hip mobility in the elderly
Frequently asked questions
What does 4-level adjustment mean?
The position of the stretching element locks in 4 steps, so the stretch amplitude increases progressively from one session to the next and the patient does not depend on the therapist's strength to hold the position.
How does it differ from mat stretching?
The machine fixes the body position and the direction of the stretch, so the patient performs the movement correctly from the first session, without compensations, and the therapist supervises several patients at the same time.
Which patients is it suitable for?
Orthopaedic rehabilitation, elderly patients with reduced mobility and athletes, in clinics, rehabilitation centres and physiotherapy gyms. No power supply required.
