About ZEPU-QS4
ZEPU-QS4 is a stretching machine for the calves and ankles, with a 950×900 mm footprint. The patient sits, holds the support handle and presses the sole on the articulated lever, which moves the ankle into dorsiflexion and stretches the posterior calf muscles. The lever stroke is controlled by a damper.
ZEPU-QS4 is part of the ZEPU-QS series of stretching machines. All models in the series share the same principle: a steel frame with seat and upholstered pads that fix the body position, a stretching element adjustable over 4 levels and a maximum load of 150 kg, with no power supply. The manufacturer's catalogue gives dimensions and weight for each model, and the targeted muscle group follows from the machine's configuration.
Key features
- Damped foot lever. The sole presses the articulated lever, supported by a damper, and the ankle moves into dorsiflexion in a controlled way.
- Support handle. The tall padded handle gives hand support during the stretch.
- Small footprint. At 950×900 mm, it is the most compact machine in the series.
- 4-level adjustment. The stretch amplitude locks in 4 steps, for controlled progression from one session to the next.
- Maximum load 150 kg. Steel frame and upholstery rated for patients up to 150 kg.
- No power supply. Mechanical device, no motor and no cables. Can be placed anywhere in the gym.
Clinical indications
The equipment is indicated for:
- Tightness of the triceps surae and Achilles tendon
- Rehabilitation after ankle sprains and fractures, in the mobilisation phase
- Limited ankle dorsiflexion in the elderly
- Prevention of calf injuries in athletes
Frequently asked questions
What does 4-level adjustment mean?
The position of the stretching element locks in 4 steps, so the stretch amplitude increases progressively from one session to the next and the patient does not depend on the therapist's strength to hold the position.
How does it differ from mat stretching?
The machine fixes the body position and the direction of the stretch, so the patient performs the movement correctly from the first session, without compensations, and the therapist supervises several patients at the same time.
Which patients is it suitable for?
Orthopaedic rehabilitation, elderly patients with reduced mobility and athletes, in clinics, rehabilitation centres and physiotherapy gyms. No power supply required.
