About the Dual-Wavelength Laser
The Dual-Wavelength Laser is a non-ablative fractional resurfacing system that combines two complementary wavelengths. The Thulium laser at 1927 nm has high absorption in water and works superficially, on the epidermis, where it treats pigment, sun spots and post-acne marks. The Er:Glass laser at 1550 nm penetrates the dermis, where it remodels collagen for scars, stretch marks and fine lines.
The fractional technology creates controlled thermal micro-zones, with bridges of intact skin between them, so healing is faster than with ablative resurfacing and the pigmentation risk is lower. The power is adjustable between 1 and 30 W, the 7 scanning patterns cover different shapes and densities, and the hand drawn spot allows precise work on difficult anatomical areas. Random emission of the points reduces heat build-up in the tissue.
Key features
- Thulium 1927 nm. Epidermis: pigment, sun spots, uneven tone, radiance.
- Er:Glass 1550 nm. Dermis: acne scars, stretch marks, fine lines, firmness.
- Synergistic layered effect. The two wavelengths are used separately or within the same session.
- Power of 1 to 30 W. Gentle or intensive protocols, according to the indication.
- 7 scanning patterns. Customisable density, overlap and shape.
- Short recovery. Non-ablative, with a fast return to normal activity.
Applications
The equipment is indicated for resurfacing, pigmented spots and sun damage, acne scars, stretch marks, fine lines and evening of texture, on the face, neck, arms, legs, back and abdomen.
Frequently asked questions about non-ablative fractional laser
How does it differ from fractional CO2 laser?
The CO2 laser is ablative: it vaporises micro-columns of tissue, with strong results but 5 to 10 days of recovery. The non-ablative system heats the tissue without vaporisation, so recovery is usually limited to 1 to 3 days of redness, with a protocol of several sessions.
How many sessions are needed?
For pigment and radiance, 2 to 4 sessions. For acne scars and stretch marks, 3 to 6 sessions, at intervals of 4 weeks. The operator sets the plan at the initial assessment.
Which phototypes can be treated?
The non-ablative approach allows a wider range of phototypes to be treated than ablative resurfacing, with adapted parameters. On dark skin the operator uses lower energies and densities, according to the protocol of the manufacturer.
