ZEPU-AI9 is an exoskeleton robot for lower limb rehabilitation. The motorised hip and knee joints guide the patient through the movements of a normal walk, so gait training takes place in an upright position, not from a seated one.
The system tracks and evaluates the patient throughout the session: it quantifies the occurrence of spasms and protects the safety of the training. Gait analysis and the visual display of the training status improve the efficiency of the sessions, and the situational interaction mode keeps the patient engaged.
